In late 2004,
long-time comrades Chad Bradley and Clay Lytle joined
forces once again to create the beast of war known
as KROTALUS (kro-ta-lus). Drawing inspiration from
classic bands such as Venom, Slayer, Possessed and
Destruction, the two also added elements of death
and modern black metal in order to give themselves
breathing room to branch out and not limit themselves
to one particular style. After writing three songs,
they were faced with the grueling task of finding
other like-minded individuals that would share their
vision of annihilation and blasphemy. Mitch Browder
and Shane Brown answered the call to arms and became
these individuals. The four then began writing and
rehearsing and played their first show in 2005 opening
for Louisiana band EyeHateGod. Soon after, the band
opened for the mighty rock warrior Thor, reunited
Atlanta thrashers Hallow's Eve and played several
local shows, all the while creating a buzz in the
local scene. KROTALUS is currently hard at work
finishing material that will be included on their
first full-length recording.
